Andrew Lauren

Andrew Lauren is the chairman of Andrew Lauren Productions, a production company that focuses on the production of stylistically groundbreaking film and television. Since the start of the company, Lauren conceived the story behind ALP’s feature G, a reinterpretation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s, The Great Gatsby. It premiered at the inaugural Tribeca Film Festival in New York City in May, 2002. He has also been a producer on several films including THE SQUID AND THE WHALE (2005), which was nominated for three golden globe awards including best picture and an academy award for best original screenplay. Lauren produced two documentaries, the first, THIS IS NOT A ROBBERY, premiered at the Tribeca film festival (2008) and sold to the Sundance Channel. The second, LIFE 2.0 premiered at the Sundance Film Festival (2010) and sold to Oprah’s Own network as part of her documentary club. In 2012, Andrew Lauren produced and fully financed THE SPECTACULAR NOW, which premiered at the Sundance film festival in 2013. The film has been described as “rare and truly soulful.”
